ACE Policies

We are very pleased to announce that the International Academies of Emergency Dispatch has created three Accreditation policies. This is in order to provide clear, transparent, and consistent principles and courses of action for all Accredited Centers of Excellence.

Please be aware that there are two changes to current practice: 1. The ACE reporting period is changed from semi-annual to quarterly (02-01 Accreditation & Re-

Accreditation)  This means that July, August, and September reports are due by no later than October 15, 2017. This change has been made in order to ensure that agencies stay on top of monthly performance. We have found that agency that report more frequently are more

successful in maintaining ACE performance levels. 2. The ACE expiration date will be three years from the last expiration date and not from the date of the re-ACE application approval. (02-02 Center of Excellence Re-Accreditation) This change has been made in order to maintain a consistent ACE expiry date (once every three years). We have found that having the date change from one re-accreditation to the next can be hard to track for the agency.
